ORIGINS OF HALLOWEEN

Halloween is a festivity of Celtic origin.The Celtics celebrated the new year on the1th November. This day marked the end of the summer and the beginning of the winter.The Celtic celebrate the Samhain's festivitty on the 31th October ,when the ghosts come back to the earth. People, for centuries, make pumpkins called Jack O'Lantern becouse they said that in Halloween he goes in people's house to find shelter, An other tradition of Halloween is "trick or treat" and the children wear becouse they said thet the dead would return to earth.
Halloween is celebrate in different parts of the world, but Halloween was born in USA and UK. All of the country has got different traditions. 
In England, the children make a lot of puppets, called "pumkies".
In North America, on the day of Halloween, shops sell a lot of sweet and costumes. People decorate their houses.
In Italy Halloween isn't very celebrate, but in the last few years this festivity is growing.
