THE HISTORY OF PANCAKE DAY

Pancake Day is a traditional feast day and is always and Tuesday in February or March. This day is also called Shrove Tuesday and this day is before the start of Lent. In other country like Italy, Shrove Tuesday is at the end of carnival.
Before Lent, people usually make pancakes with butter and eggs because they have to finish these ingredients because during Lent, they can't eat "rich food" and those products would go bad. In these day people eat pancakes for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
An other traditions of pancake day is a pancake racing that is people run in a race with pancake in a pan and they have to toss pancake in the air for least three times and they have to arrive first at the finish line. The prize is to serve pancakes at bell and give him a kiss.
The most famous race takes place in Olney.

 

TRADITION S OF THE NEW YEAR'S AROUND THE WORLD

In each country there are different traditions for the new year.

In England people believe that the first people for the new year bring fortune for them.

In Brazil people believe that lentils signify prosperity. And people bring flowers, candle, jewelery in a boat in Rio De Janeiro is pushed to the ocean that bring health.

In Spain people eat 12 grapes and they believe that it brings happiness and good luck for the new year.

In Denmark people keep some dishes

 broke in from of the door. This symbolizes friendship and brotherhood and they believe that they have the most friends.

In Egypt people believe that the new year begins when crescent moon is visible.

Hamburger is also called "Svizzera and Medaglione". The word Hamburger has Germanic origin. The creator is Otto Kuasw, The ingredients are: meat, salad and other sauce. There are different types of hamburger: like fast food hamburger and restaurant hamburger.

Sandwich has English origin. The creator is Lord Sandwich. Sandwich has different types of ingredients: like bread, meat, ham, cheese and other ingredients. This is a local dish and it's a stuffed sandwich in Italy is called "panino".

Pizza Margherita has Italian origins. The creator is Raffaele Esposito. The principal ingredients are tomato sauce, mozzarella, olive oil and basil that symbolized the Italian flag and this pizza is dedicated to the queen Margherita Di Savoia in the 1889. In Naples this pizza is so good and I love it.

It will also encourage shopping centre to offer public libraries so people can read when they go shopping. This law should be a lifelong habit.
